Receipts, Please

Margo is a fictional AI character from Glow Studio. Education only, not financial advice. Every figure in the book is an example. 18+.

On duty.
The Receipts, Please cover: navy serif title with a yellow highlighter swipe, a printed receipt listing the four weeks, and the MT label-tape mark.

Is this you?

The month is a feeling. Let’s make it a number.

None of this is a character flaw. It’s missing paperwork. Paperwork, unlike character, takes fifteen minutes.

The workbook doesn’t ask you to feel differently about money. It asks you to write it down, in a set order, and then decide on purpose.

How a day works

Three cards, same order, every day. There is no other trick.

Each day is one page, one timed task and one blank table for your numbers. It runs on the same three steps, so by Day 05 you stop reading the instructions.

  1. RECEIPT

One number you can point to. Not a vibe. A number, with the statement it came from.

  2. TALLY

The arithmetic, shown in full. Addition and multiplication. I checked; there’s no algebra.

  3. SYSTEM

One next move that still works when you’re tired, busy or mildly annoyed with me.

Cartoon Margo with a magnifying glass, reading a long receipt.

Nora goes first. She’s a fictional composite household, audited in full on every day page, so you watch the method work on her numbers before you try it on yours. She isn’t a client or a success story. She’s arithmetic with a first name.

What’s inside

Thirty short days. One system you keep.

Four weeks, each with one job. Fourteen ten-minute days and sixteen fifteen-minute days. Nothing gets cancelled before it gets counted.

  1. 1Days 01–07

    See It

You look. No cancelling, no calling, no resolutions. Just counting what already happened.

  2. 2Days 08–14

    Change the Changeable

You act on the column marked changeable and nothing else. Everything you’d miss stays.

  3. 3Days 15–21

    Build the System

A baseline month for pay that moves, a floor, caps you chose, and funds for the bills that arrive once a year.

  4. 4Days 22–30

    Hold It

A plan that needs your best week fails on your worst. This one runs on an ordinary Tuesday.

Fit check

Who this is for, and who it isn’t.

It’s for you if

  • You run your own household money and haven’t looked closely in a while.
  • Your pay moves with hours, shifts or tips, so a “normal month” is hard to name.
  • You split rent or bills with roommates or a partner.
  • You can do arithmetic in pencil, ten or fifteen minutes at a time.

It’s not

  • Financial, tax, legal or credit advice. It’s education, and every figure is an example.
  • A pick of investments, crypto, banks, cards or apps. It recommends none.
  • Help for a debt emergency: a missed rent payment, a shutoff notice or a collector. A nonprofit credit counselor can see the whole picture.
  • For anyone under 18.

How buying works

Three steps. I counted.

  1. Tap Buy

Checkout opens on Stripe. Stripe, through Stripe Managed Payments, is the merchant of record: it handles payment, tax and your receipt. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.

  2. Pay $17

One payment. No subscription, no account, no upsell on the way out. You know how I feel about recurring charges.

  3. Download

Right after payment you get the link to your download page. Bookmark it; it works again later. Can’t find it? Reply to your Stripe receipt email and we’ll send it.

Before you buy

Fair questions.

Cartoon Margo holding a clipboard, looking mildly surprised.
Do I need to be good with numbers?

No. It’s addition and multiplication, done once on Nora’s numbers so you can copy the steps. A pencil and a calculator are enough. The calculator is optional; the pencil is not.

Is this financial advice?

No. It’s education only: not financial, tax, legal or credit advice. It recommends no bank, card, lender, app, investment or crypto product. Every dollar figure in the book is labelled as an example.

Who is Margo, and who wrote this?

Margo Tally is a fictional character. Glow Studio writes her, and the workbook, with AI, and says so on the cover and at the foot of every page. Nora, the household in the examples, is a fictional composite. The arithmetic is real.

Can I print it, or use a tablet?

Both. Print at 100% (“Actual size”), or write on it in any PDF annotation app. The 17 templates sit one per page so you can print them again next month.

I’m outside the US. Will it work?

You get a US Letter and an A4 edition. The method works in any currency; the example figures and the resource numbers are US-based.

Is it a subscription?

No. One payment of $17, once. I would never.

What if it isn’t useful?

Reply to your order receipt within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked, and no exit interview.
